Information about the horn:
The winner of this auction will receive a Custom Edwards trombone with a tempered-unsoldered-yellow-brass bell (321CF), Bach 42 slide with #2 lead pipe (T2), an Axial Flow Valve (Thayer valve) F-attachment section, a straight attachment with counter weight, and yellow brass tuning slides.
The normal visual signs of aging on this horn are apparent through the lacker wear on the smooth-riding slide; also, lacquer wear is apparent where the f-attachment touches the neck. Additionally, there is a very thin and minimal centimeter blemish on the top third of the bell. See pictures for other blemishes on the horn.
The unique combination of slides, bell, and lead pipe form the most centered and responsive Edwards horn that I have ever played! Regretfully, I am selling this horn to pay for my new Shires.
Other noteworthy qualities of this specific Edwards horn are: Constant responsiveness in all partials, free blowing in all partials, and well in tune between partials.
The main features of this horn are simply how wonderfully it centers the tone and the clarity of articulation.
Anyone looking for a Custom Edwards horn able to handle full orchestral styles of playing, and responsive enough for chamber playing, email me at jon@jonfrancis.com with questions.
